Product Description
- Two transparent glass weights with notched sides and a central grip are supplied. Jars, lids, food and other props shown in use examples are not included.
- Check the jar opening and internal clearance before use: each weight is approximately 7 cm across. Use only where the weight can be placed and removed easily; fit is not universal.
- The central grip provides a place to hold the weight while lowering it into, or lifting it out of, a suitable jar. Handle glass carefully and check it for chips or cracks before each use.
- The weights are intended to help hold prepared vegetables below the brine during fermentation. They do not replace a suitable recipe, clean equipment, temperature control or checks for spoilage.
- Use with appropriately sized jars for vegetable-fermentation projects such as pickles, kimchi or sauerkraut. This listing does not establish suitability for pressure canning, oven use or rapid temperature changes.
